Crate Motor

Actually, this guy is awesome. Chris will probably recognize him from this portrait, if he sees it. He spent the entire tenure of his beer at Hugo's discussing classic Corvette mechanics in the Pioneer Valley with another patron. Very nice, but maybe a bit narrow for discourse. In fairness though, his 450 custom did sound pretty fucking sweet taking off from the bar on its way to... the moon, or wherever it is that much engine takes you.

Hockey?

Sometimes while drinking I draw what's on the TV at bars. This time it was the Stanley Cup finals, I believe. Not sure what that tiny girl is thinking standing in front of his slapshot though.

More from the same night at the Basement. I think my friend Danielle's response to this one was "you're missing the point of dance night." Possibly, but I had to work faster than the 8 beers in me and crank this one out before parallel lines became hypothetical.

This time at the Basement on a Tuesday. You can really see my right hand bias coming out in a drawing like this. I wish I'd taken Nancy's advice in school and practiced flipping my drawings over to redo them more often.

First outdoor meal of the year!

You'll notice the start of a recurring problem of mine here: I don't think a composition through until I've already got most of the drawing done. The result is that most of my sketches end up crammed all the way to one side of the page when I'm drinking.

Inaguration

The point of this blog is to post drawings created while drinking. Pretty simple. I'll post some new stuff as it gets made, and choose from my enormous backlog of inebriation. Actually, you can do the same: this blog is open to everyone.
